David Nadal performs as a solo classical guitarist and in popular and new music ensembles on the electric guitar. He enjoys a wide-ranging career encompassing early, contemporary, improvised, and experimental music. An avid scholar and frequent lecturer on the guitar and its history, David has published several volumes of his own arrangements for guitar that are distributed throughout the world by Dover Publications. His edition of the Complete Lute Songs of John Dowland (1563-1626) (published in two volumes) has become the definitive source for the repertoire and is used by musicians worldwide.

He earned a graduate degree from the School of Music at Yale University and an undergraduate degree from Manhattan School of Music. David maintains a private teaching studio in New York City and is currently on the faculty at LaGuardia Community College.
